I (Dr. Luz F. Prado) share with you the accomplishments made by Manuel my son. Manuel was promoted to the rank of major on 3/3/13. He will leave for Kuwait 12/8/15, but before he leaves for Kuwait he will visit with us for two weeks in May Some facts: Manuel graduated from Midland High School in 1996 and later received a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Abilene Christian University and a Master's degree from St. Mary's University. He was in the army in January 2004 and graduated as a Second Lieutenant and attended and graduated from the Army Ranger school, in Columbus, GA. While in Iraq he was promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant Traveled twice to Iraq and twice to Afghanistan and in 2008 was promoted to the rank of captain. The last trip to Afghanistan was in very dangerous special missions. In the Museum of Columbus, GA. A stone with his name was placed. Manuel received three bronze stars. My son Manuel reminds me of Cornelius the Centurion of the Bible. Manuel is a good son, a good husband, a good father, and above all a good Christian. My wife Mely and I ask for prayers for Manuel.
