Description of Course
An in depth Biblical study of the Holy Spirit. The student will study the Biblical presentation of the Holy Spirit in both the Old and New testaments as well as the historical and contemporary development of major theologies pertaining to Holy Spirit and how these theologies have affected doctrinal teachings and Christian behavior. Greek language competency is required.
Course Learning Outcomes (Objectives, Goals of Course)
To identify the specific doctrinal teachings of the Old and New Testaments as they reveal the Person and work of the Holy Spirit;
To determine the location, function, and relationship of the Holy Spirit as a member of the Godhead;
To account for the Holy Spirit in the revelatory and salvational work of the Godhead;
To learn the various historical and contemporary major theologies which interpret the Person and work of the Holy Spirit and compare and contrast them with the teaching of the Old and New Testament.
To describe the Person and work of the Holy Spirit as they relate to the life of the individual Christian and to the nature and destiny of the Church of Christ.

REQUIREMENTS
Student will read all assigned textbooks and submit a book review following the book review outline provided by the TUA;
Student will write a paper of not less than 10 pages demonstrating his/her comprehension of a student selected/professor approved topic relating to a specific aspect of the Person and work of the Holy Spirit.
Student will complete all additional assignments that the professor determines is necessary to provide a thorough, in-depth study and learning experience.
Student will complete all examinations.

Student will research the internet for information helpful to his/her understanding of the Person and work of the Holy Spirit in the following specific historical periods:

The student will record the sites that he/she determines to be useful to his/her study;
The student will write a paper of not less than 3 pages summarizing his/her research in each historical period.
